Let’s get down and dirty… who doesn’t love a graphic tee? It’s a current trend that anyone can wear and it’s a trend that doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. I personally love it- what better way to tell people how I’m feeling or what I stand for than to wear it.

Right now I’m digging shirts that have uplifting sayings that give a little motivation OR anything that can strike up a convo with someone I don’t know yet- let’s face it, I’ve never met a stranger!

Here is 4 very simple ways to wear this trend:

Just a quick note [I tend to buy my tees one size larger than what I normally wear in tops- this allows for extra length and more room to do fun things with them!]

Tuck It: This is the most simple, but tee’s look so clean when they’re tucked in (even just a front tuck) with a belt and a dainty necklace. You can always add a jacket over this style to take it up a notch. [ style must have ] a light jacket that matches your hair color– this could be any style jacket that fits into your wardrobe [everyone’s picks will look different, mine are vegan leather] brunettes go chocolate brown, blondes go khaki, grey/silver hair look for something with some shine… and everyone can rock black!

Knot It: This trend goes perfect with all things high waisted! Skirts, Jeans, Pants, and over top dresses… Knotted tee’s are the best way to take your typical tee and give it some flair. If you’re thinking you’ve seen this before- you have. The 80’s and 90’s are back in full force and I am digging it. [I just tried this trend for the first time over a dress and I am loving it! As a breastfeeding mom, dresses are SO difficult to wear. But with a tee over it, you can totally make it work, just like the “2 shirt” method. If you’re wondering about this, feel free to raise all the questions!]

Add Bling: OH BABY! I loooove me some bling! And there is no shame in my game. I wear jewelry with everything, so this is not new to me BUT you can totally dress up a graphic tee with a good statement necklace and an arm party! [I’ve even got jewelry that matches my Ohio State and YSU football gear!] There is no easier way to look effortlessly chic than to add some bling. [ style must have ]jewelry that flatters your size – proportions matter! If you’re curvy and want to draw attention to your eyes, not your thighs, wear a large statement necklace. If you’re thin and petite, wear a long necklace to draw the eye up and down to elongate your torso and make you look taller!

Add Structure: A basic blazer adds style to just about anything. If all else fails, add a blazer. This is the best way to “clean up” your graphic tee and maybe even wear it to the office. [ style must have ] a blazer that fits your style – mine is black and white printed, yours might be cotton, or a fun color, or floral like this one. Blazers don’t have to be stuffy!

here is the way I wore a couple of these ideas together! Knotted and with some bling!
